Our Story 

Hi, I'm Lakeisha — founder, designer, and the rest of it here at Sonny.

Sonny was created seven months postpartum with my third pēpi. I found myself lost in all of the changes postpartum brings and needed some boldness and confidence back. But I didn't want subtle and quiet, or something I could grab off the shelf at any chain store. I wanted something that felt different — something that would elevate my every day and complement my ever-changing style.

In a world that moves so fast — where trends come and go, as do seasons of life — I wanted to create a brand that brings confidence to women in every season of her life. Something that completes an outfit and acts as the final touch. A piece that reminds her that blending in and being like everyone else is boring.

Wear the bold thing, the bright thing — the thing that makes you feel your best self. Life is too short to be beige.
